I really love these! I like the negative space in 11. I love the the coloring in 8 so much, it looks like maybe you used a light texture also? It looks very good.
I love your cropping esp in 2, 10, 8, 4, and 9.

The only concrit I could give is that you should work on your contrast a bit more (like in 5) and that's something I am working on also so I shouldn't crit about that, haha.

And more texture use is good but I also like your clean and simple but elegant look.

I've been making icons for years but have only just started to seriously try on them, if that makes any sense. Also, my shading probably needs severe help. Tips on anything would be helpful! I'm reduced to Gimp.

Hmm... I don't like the last icon, but the texture/brush that you use is really good! The ways you use is awesome!

I like how you don't always leave the outlines black, it adds a very colorful feel and softer touch to your icons. Sometimes your colors are raw and bright, but usually this works out for the better and makes them pretty. :) Also, through your color choice, they are bright but faded at the same time (this may sound like it contradicts what I said earlier but I don't want it to) which makes them more unique than the usual animanga icon fare.

IN CONCLUSION, I do really like your icons even though they don't always fit my personal sense of color. I still enjoy looking at them though, because they are arty. ♥

You should probably use some more high quality bases. All of these icons have a very grainy texture to it that doesn't jive well with the colors, which could probably be enhanced. I suggest playing around with layers more to bring out the colors you want.

Right now, otherwise, these look like flat crops.

Uhhh, idk. I know I need a lot of work on my source of lighting and making my shading not look retarded, but any suggestions/crit would be wonderful!

I like your style. It's simple (which, when all is said and done, is rather hard to accomplish), yet conveys emotion quite nicely. I find simple icons more appealing, simply because people can use them for their every day entries. You don't need a billion light effects and bold textures to convey such. Y ou have an awesome way of melding those bold textures and lighting effects with the more simplistic way of doing things.

I think the main reason I probably never grab your icons, is because they are all clamp (OR MOSTLY CLAMP. I loved your Furuba ones and your occasional Ouran icons).

And we could all use work on our shading and lighting. Except those people who are artists offline and understand such concepts (i learned a lot of my shading from my artistic sister). :D

One thing I've found helpful is just watching real people and looking at where the shadows lay on them when faced with a certain kind of light. Even if it's just as you're walking to class, look at them (don't stare, that's rude). I think that's helped me learn how to do better with my lighting and my shading. I think the hardest part is learning how to blend the shadows in without making it too bold or too blah.

I think that you are excellent at doing the textures/words/layers thing and so you should do it more. Like, the 1st one and the 4th one on the bottom look amazing, but I'd like to see words covering the space a little because I can see from your other icons that you're really good at doing that (unlike some people *cough*me*cough*) who're... really bad at using tons of textures/text). Also third one on the bottom would look better without a border, imo.

Like I said, though, I really love how you use textures and text. They make the icon unique and interesting. I love the cropping in the 2nd one on the bottom, and I love what you did with the Dark icon, flipping it upside-down and cropping it like that and all. It's imaginative and different and I like it. :D ♥

HI HIIIII. You chose a lot of my favorite icons, so. That makes this hard.

1. The vivid colors and deep contrast are really visually appearing. I think in this case the text is overwhelming in its boldness, that maybe it would be better to send it more to the back and let the characters shine.

2. I'm not very good at critiquing icons based on simplicity, because I like....really complicated things xD I have to say, I think the execution of the gradients is good, and you didn't abuse the icon with brushes.

3. I do love the colors in this and the baby text. There is one thing that Clamp is famous for, and that's huge hands. The cropping does confuse the fact that those are her fingers.....those ARE her fingers, right? But other than that, perdy.

4. Another one of my favorites. The rich orange is complimentary with the blue and aqua, and I love vivid colors to death. I love this one just as it is, I have no complaints.

5. I don't think I've seen this one before, and it's not really a favorite. The cropping combined with the dramatic contrast kind of confuses for me what the picture consists of. But again, complimentary colors! Eee.

6. This one also isn't a favorite for me, although I think a lot of people might like it. I like the idea behind it, but I don't think it was executed as well as it could have been. The bottom also just seems like it's too much space to waste, that something should go there.

7. I did like this one, especially out of the batch you posted (although the first one you used was my favorite). I think because of the delicacy of the picture and effects, different text should have been used. This text is very bold and LOOK AT MEEEE, whereas something smaller and more modest would have helped to accentuate the mood.

8. .....I still don't know what this is, but....gosh, I love the colors. I'm a sucker for vivid. The tiny text, I do like it for added texture, but I think it's a liiiittle too much. But I don't care because I love the colors. I just really wish I knew what it was.......

9. I think you like to cut off eyes. You eye-gauger. I love the light effect against the blue, it really adds atomosphere. I'm impartial to the text because it's easily overlooked. I know that text is your weakness, but you've improved a lot over time!

10. I almost like this a lot. The complimentary colors make me happy, and I like the squiggles bcs they tickle me, but I think this needs just something more. Texture, possibly? Just something more.

11. I love this thing. If only they were raised a bit higher into the picture. But otherwise, I love this thing. Everything, from the text to the placement to the colors and pattern, is just all conducive to a very playful mood.

12. I think there was a lot of potential in this. I like the simplicity, because it magnifies the intensity of the scene. The text, however, gets lost. I can't decide if I'm a fan of this icon or not...perhaps you could have minimized the text and used some sort of dark brush behind to bring it out.
