1. The vivid colors and deep contrast are really visually appearing. I think in this case the text is overwhelming in its boldness, that maybe it would be better to send it more to the back and let the characters shine.
2. I'm not very good at critiquing icons based on simplicity, because I like....really complicated things xD I have to say, I think the execution of the gradients is good, and you didn't abuse the icon with brushes.
3. I do love the colors in this and the baby text. There is one thing that Clamp is famous for, and that's huge hands. The cropping does confuse the fact that those are her fingers.....those ARE her fingers, right? But other than that, perdy.
4. Another one of my favorites. The rich orange is complimentary with the blue and aqua, and I love vivid colors to death. I love this one just as it is, I have no complaints.
5. I don't think I've seen this one before, and it's not really a favorite. The cropping combined with the dramatic contrast kind of confuses for me what the picture consists of. But again, complimentary colors! Eee.
6. This one also isn't a favorite for me, although I think a lot of people might like it. I like the idea behind it, but I don't think it was executed as well as it could have been. The bottom also just seems like it's too much space to waste, that something should go there.
7. I did like this one, especially out of the batch you posted (although the first one you used was my favorite). I think because of the delicacy of the picture and effects, different text should have been used. This text is very bold and LOOK AT MEEEE, whereas something smaller and more modest would have helped to accentuate the mood.
8. .....I still don't know what this is, but....gosh, I love the colors. I'm a sucker for vivid. The tiny text, I do like it for added texture, but I think it's a liiiittle too much. But I don't care because I love the colors. I just really wish I knew what it was.......
9. I think you like to cut off eyes. You eye-gauger. I love the light effect against the blue, it really adds atomosphere. I'm impartial to the text because it's easily overlooked. I know that text is your weakness, but you've improved a lot over time!
10. I almost like this a lot. The complimentary colors make me happy, and I like the squiggles bcs they tickle me, but I think this needs just something more. Texture, possibly? Just something more.
11. I love this thing. If only they were raised a bit higher into the picture. But otherwise, I love this thing. Everything, from the text to the placement to the colors and pattern, is just all conducive to a very playful mood.
12. I think there was a lot of potential in this. I like the simplicity, because it magnifies the intensity of the scene. The text, however, gets lost. I can't decide if I'm a fan of this icon or not...perhaps you could have minimized the text and used some sort of dark brush behind to bring it out.

5 & 6) The icontest I made them for actually doesn't allow us to do anything asides from really basic stuff lol no textures/text/brushes allowed. That's probably why they're so simple and kind of boring. Glorified bases is what I call them LOL
8) Have you ever seen the Fountain? It's from the end of that movie. There's a little person at the top left corner. And yeah, I kind of did get a little carried away with the text

to be bashed inside out just to know what to work on. One just opened up recently that someone I know applied to but I don't know any of the icon makers and it always makes me go ".... who are you to decide if I'm a good icon maker or not if I've never seen your icons before? D:"but maybe that is also me being bitter and a little afraid to apply. That and I never actually do icon batch posts LOL
