you're improving so much! love your three most recent sets. the contrast and coloring choices you made are are nice! my only criticism is for your older, blue-hued icons (http://community.livejournal.com/postapocalyptic/2669.html#cutid1). some of these icons were absolutely lovely and others seem to be flooded with contrast and color. (like x (http://s5.tinypic.com/2dkdf9x_th.jpg) and x (http://s5.tinypic.com/a1u0w_th.jpg)) that style of coloring worked beautifully in these: x (http://s5.tinypic.com/ehb47t_th.jpg) x (http://s5.tinypic.com/25rp2jt_th.jpg) x (http://s5.tinypic.com/j76cd2_th.jpg). the dark tones and the light tones play off of each other perfectly.

just remember that sometimes what coloring looks good with one photograph may not work so well on another. sometimes you can play with the color balance and contrast to make it work, and sometimes you just have to abandon ship and try something else. :)
