No problem! Haha yeah I'm usually... a one-trick pony. I can't deviate much from what I like to do or it ends up crappy. '__'

#3 is clean, but the solid BG kinda kicks down the icon a bit. If that even makes sense orz. Even if you just use a slightly darker color and use a really soft, low-opacity brush to add some depth, it could really improve the whole feel. FOR EXAMPLE the icon you used just now; it has an almost-solid BG but because it's a soft lavender and it has the slightest bit of texture, it really seems alive and blends better with the soft hues of the icon colors. o/
